THE PROMOTION OF YOUTH SAILING AT CIRCOLO VELA TORBOLE

Teaching young people and introducing them to competition is the Circolo Vela Torbole's primary focus. Our goal is to help young people practice a beautiful sport, which we dearly love, that forms the bodies, minds and hearts of those who practice it with the right spirit.

The sailing school for small children allow them to approach this sport as play, as well as technical quality. So, after starting to play in the Optimists, our young athletes begin to do serious work on these little boats that appear so different from real boats but are a precious educational tool. Then, if what we have planted during the first stage begins to bear fruit, these children develop determination and a desire to continue to make a place for sailing in their lives, although with the most varied expectations.

The CVT's response to this need was to provide post-Optimist sports activities with an Olympic orientation that could satisfy the various physical/technical elements and that, for now, sees our young people involved in the Laser, Finn and 420 classes. The percentage of participants in the various classes mirrors what happens in the world of sailing: so, we have a large Laser team but also a “few but good” athletes in the Finn and 420 classes.

It's a point of pride for the Circolo Vela Torbole to be able to help young people learn sailing and calmly pursue a healthy sport, while the enthusiasm and passion that guides our children in the sport they have chosen to practice, together with their behavior on both land and water, which is even more important than their results, honor our club's colors and the work of all who participate in it.
